Air Source Heat Pumps EU Renewable Energy

On

17 December 2008, the European Parliament adopted the EU Directive on promoting the use of energy from renewable sources. For the first time however, in addition to geothermal energy, aerothermal and hydrothermal energy are also recognised as renewable energy sources.

This EU Directive encourages member states to support related technologies and to help achieve EU energy objectives. The Directive text implies that member states shall now promote heat pumps in much the same way they have for solar and wind energy, and it is expected this will be the case in the UK.

Airtech Supplies Daikin, Mitsubishi, Toshiba and other leading brands of 'Air Source Heat Pump' Systems for Heating, Cooling and Hot Water Services.
