Fast track comfort cooling air conditioning installation

Newton Prep is a vibrant and progressive Co-Educational Preparatory school located in South West London. There is an Upper School, Lower School and Nursery catering for children aged between 3 and 13. The school has expanded around the original Victorian building with a modern extension comprising an additional sixteen classrooms, a multispace area, two gyms, a dining room and spacious art studios.
	To increase comfort within the classroom environments for both the pupils and staff Newton Prep called in Airtech Air Conditioning to design, supply and install a series of energy efficient inverter driven heat pump systems. In order to blend in with the modern structural interiors it was decided to utilize cassette type fan coil units. The arrangement also delivers excellent distribution patterns of conditioned air around the spacious classrooms’ layouts
Airtech Air Conditioning’s fast track installation programme ensured there was no disruption to the School’s normal classroom activities. Work commenced mid August and the systems were fully operational prior to the start of the Autumn term the first week of September. The ten Mitsubishi Mr Slim heat pump systems, providing either cooling or heating, serve the various classrooms and a large function area.
